TERMS AND CONDITIONS

BASIC RENTAL CONDITIONS FOR THE DRIVER

• Must be over 21 years of age.
• Must have valid documentation (driver’s license and national identity card).
• Credit card in the name of the renter, with a minimum available credit of CLP $500,000. This amount will depend on the vehicle category and the number of rental days.
• Only bank-issued credit cards are accepted for the security deposit.
• Payment for the service is accepted only by credit card or debit card.
• Unlimited mileage.
• All our vehicles are subject to an internal “non-smoking” policy; each violation of this policy will be fined in Chilean pesos.

GENERAL RENTAL CONDITIONS

• S SUR RENT A CAR confirms the vehicle category, not the specific model.
• In the event of an accident, the Accident Report form must be completed (attached at the end) and immediate contact must be made with our offices. A copy of the driver’s license, national identity card, or passport must also be provided.
• If towing service is required, the contact numbers are attached at the end of the form, tow trucks by zone.
• Vehicles are delivered with a full fuel tank; the refueling cost is CLP $1,800 + VAT.
• For vehicle return, S SUR RENT A CAR provides a 3-hour grace period at no cost from the contract opening time.
• For travel to Argentina, coordination must be done on a case-by-case basis with a minimum of 5 business days prior to the trip, and the processing fee for the exit permit to Argentina must be paid in advance.

WEB RESERVATION CANCELLATION

Applies exclusively to prepaid reservations made online directly on the S SUR RENT A CAR website. For refund requests, the following must be considered:

Cancellation with full refund: The cardholder who made the payment may request the cancellation of the reservation and receive a 100% refund of the prepaid amount, provided that the request is made at least 7 calendar days prior to the start of the rental period, using the option available on the official website.

Partial cancellation: If the cancellation request is made between 6 and 3 calendar days prior to the start of the rental, only 50% of the prepaid amount will be refunded.

No right to refund: No refund will be issued in the following cases:

• If the cancellation is made less than 72 hours before the start of the rental.
• In the event of a No Show (when the renter does not appear within the time indicated in the reservation).
• If the renter does not meet any of the eligibility requirements of the contract (age, license, documentation, or guarantee).
• In prepaid reservations associated with promotional or special rates explicitly stated as non-refundable at the time of booking.

NO SHOW

The vehicle will be held reserved for a maximum period of 1 hour after the time indicated in the reservation. Otherwise, it will be considered a NO SHOW, meaning it is released from the rental and made available for another reservation. For these purposes, reservations must be made within the business hours established by each branch and published on the S SUR RENT A CAR website in the section called “Branches”. If the reservation was made 30 minutes before closing time, it will automatically be considered a NO SHOW, as well as when the renter does not comply with the basic rental conditions.

No refunds will be made for prepaid NO SHOW reservations, for failure to meet rental requirements, or for prepaid reservations with promotional rates.

BASE RATE COVERAGE

C.D.W: Insurance that covers damage to the vehicle in the event of an accident. The customer is responsible up to 15 UF + VAT; from this limit onward, the insurance provides coverage, provided that the corresponding accident reporting procedures are respected (Excludes theft, robbery, rollover, or total loss, which are subject to the deductible stipulated in these terms and conditions).

D.A.T: Insurance that covers damage caused to third parties when an accident involving third parties occurs. The coverage limit is 500 UF; if damages exceed this amount, the customer is responsible for the difference. As with C.D.W. coverage, it is subject to a deductible.

In the event of theft or robbery, the deductible payable is 30 UF + VAT.

In the event of rollover or total loss, the deductible payable is 40 UF + VAT.

ADDITIONAL COVERAGES

These are optional additional insurances that the renter may choose, which have an additional daily charge.

RC 5000: Increases the basic DAT coverage from 500 UF to 5000 UF (DAILY RATE CLP $3,000).

Basic: Covers accessories: radio, antenna, and mirrors (DAILY RATE CLP $5,000).

Intermediate: Covers tires (excludes rims and accessories), glass, and rear window. Additionally, includes accessories: radio, antenna, and mirrors (DAILY RATE CLP $8,000).

Premium: Exempts the driver from paying the deductible stipulated in the C.D.W. insurance. Excludes Intermediate, Basic, and RC5000 coverage (DAILY RATE CLP $14,000).

Premium Plus: Eliminates the deductible of the basic CDW coverage, rollover, theft, or total loss. Additionally, includes Intermediate coverage. Excludes RC 5000 insurance (DAILY RATE CLP $27,900).

Roadside Assistance Plus 24/7: Releases the customer from the cost of tow truck assistance for common emergencies: keys locked inside the vehicle, battery discharge due to lights or other electrical systems left on, and tire change. Includes tow service up to 10 UF per event (DAILY RATE CLP $5,000).
